South Australia is well placed to play a modest but significant role on the global stage of sustainable food security. Despite the well publicised boom in mining-related industries, agricultural production and export remain the greatest contributors to our state's economy - and feed a substantial portion of the world's population. A selection of videos featuring the keynote speakers from the highly successful Feast or Famine Conference are now available to view.
How many farms and jobs ? There are currently 13,475 farms and 33,000 people employed in agricultural production jobs in South Australia and 146,000 South Australians are employed in the food sector.
